...a woman can't woo a man

Day in day out, on and on..
You are my mind's eyes
Am bound for true affection
No bond, no bail, no undoing
...a woman can't woo a man

My importunes innocently wither
Lame negative excuses you employ
To wantonly smother the virtue that all crave
...a woman can't woo a man

You look other ways after leaving the best
They too look other ways
Heartrendingly you lose to boot as
...a woman can't woo a man

Ends

Carol, I just read your other posts. My. What Good Writing you have here, Ma'am. And this poem is amazing. Its like the Amy Winehouse song 'And I Wake Up Alone.' Really good.

Beware now. I will be back. I will.
